How my focus shifted from proving myself to building a meaningful life

I’ve been thinking a lot about what keeps us going—what feels like gravity in our lives. In my early 20s, it was about proving myself, chasing achievements and recognition. Now, it’s less about showing the world and more about building a steady life that feels meaningful day to day.

For me, it’s not about a “healthy obsession,” but about having something slightly bigger than my current mood—sometimes learning something new, sometimes getting a little better at something small. I’ve realized that the thing that anchors us changes over time, and that’s probably a good sign.

I’ve been exploring this through my Live8x8 framework, which views life in 8 stages. Right now, I’m in a stage where focus, growth, and meaningful routines matter most.
