We’re All Fighting Our Own Battles… So Why the Hate? (A Live8x8 Reflection ♾️)

Every day, almost everyone you meet is fighting for something.

  • A parent working long hours for their kids

  • A student trying to build a future

  • Someone quietly dealing with stress, loss, or pressure

  • People running the rat race, others trying a “smart race”

Different paths. Same intention.

To survive, to provide, to protect the people they love.

And yet…

Despite all this shared struggle, we still see:

  • jealousy

  • comparison

  • unnecessary competition

  • resentment toward others’ success

Which raises a simple question:

If we are all trying our best in our own way… why the hate?

The Reality

No matter how different our lives look on the surface, there is one truth none of us can escape:

We are all walking toward the same destination.

Not to sound heavy—but it’s real.

Life is temporary.

And within that limited time, we:

  • chase goals

  • build families

  • make mistakes

  • try to find meaning

So why spend that time pulling each other down?

Rat Race vs Smart Race

Some people grind nonstop.
Some try to optimize and work smarter.

But at the end of the day:

Both are just different ways of navigating life.

There is no single “correct” path.

What matters is:

  • Are you moving forward?

  • Are you taking care of your people?

  • Are you staying true to your values?

Live8x8 Perspective ♾️

In the Live8x8 framework, every stage of life has its own struggles:

  • early stages: confusion and learning

  • middle stages: pressure, responsibility, family

  • later stages: reflection and meaning

Everyone is at a different stage.

Comparing journeys doesn’t make sense.

A Simple Principle

Live and let live.

  • Respect different paths

  • Support where possible

  • Avoid unnecessary negativity

  • Focus on your own growth

Because at the end of the journey, what remains is not:

  • how many people you competed with

  • or how many you envied

But:

  • how you lived

  • how you treated others

  • and what you built with the time you had

Reflection

Maybe the real “win” in life is not beating others.

Maybe it’s:

  • building a peaceful life

  • protecting your loved ones

  • and not carrying unnecessary negativity along the way

Discussion

  • Have you ever felt caught in comparison or jealousy?

  • What helped you move past it?

  • Do you think competition is necessary, or overrated?

  • What does “winning in life” mean to you personally?

Curious to hear different perspectives. ♾️
